Phelps Rewrites Olympic History With 8 Golds

Michael Phelps has made history today in the Water Cube at the Beijing Olympics! The 23-year-old swimming champion is the only person ever to win eight gold medals at a single Olympics, seven of them in world-record time.

With the help of his team mates in the 4×100 meter medley relay, Phelps got his eighth medal. Team USA won in a world record time. Australian team finished in second and Japan took bronze.
