Taipei Gay Pride 2008
With this year theme "Run The Rainbow Way," Taipei has held Asia's largest gay pride march to demand equal rights for homosexuals, transsexuals and transgender people. Around 20,000 people from Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Japan gathered on Saturday for the annual gay pride parade which is in its sixth year.
Braving showers on Saturday brought on by Typhoon Jangmi, an estimated 18,000 people - including representatives from gay rights groups in foreign countries - marched through the main streets of Taipei.

Participants displayed a 90-by-4.5-metre rainbow flag - the symbol of the gay rights movement and waved placards to call for equal rights for gay people. More photos after the jump.

I'm from Taiwan and I can't thank you enough for this post. Taipei had become one of the most gay-friendly cities in thw world(with tons of cute and fit guys just walking down the streets), and we are all very pround of this parade.
