Thousands joined in the celebrations in one of the busiest clubbing weekends on record as it was the long weekend in Sydney and the official start of the Summer partying season.
Sleaze Ball at the Entertainment Quarter drew over 5,000 people with the theme of "The Villain’s Lair," selling the party out.
Patygoers dressed in characters that ranged from the old and new, the political and jovial, the young and old, the current and classic. There were plenty of big performances inside the Horden, which was transformed into a Gotham City-like metropolis.
Project Sleazeway, hosted by Shane Jenek and Trevor Ashley, attracted a big crowds. A pair of evil vampires took home this year’s prize, chosen by award-winning costume designers Tim Chappel.

As the sun rose, the party drew to a close with the announcement of next year’s Mardi Gras theme: ‘United Nations’.

Looks like a pretty wild time!
