Saturday night, we and friends joined other 9,400 revellers in the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Parade marched along Oxford street with Amanda Lepore as the chief of this year parade. The 32th annual gay and lesbian Mardi Gras parade was attended by more than 500,000 people.

The theme this year was “History of the World”, and the lead float bore the slogan “Remembering Genius”. Other highlights included homages to Queen Victoria and Frida Kahlo, numerous George Michaels, egyptians, zombies, dregqueens and surf lifesavers.
