The 2010 Sydney Mardi gras festival ended with a bang on last Saturday night as more than 12,000 party-goers turned up for the world famous dance party. Here're some photos from the wild night.

George Michael was the first to make an appearance at 1am performing "Outside", surrounded by a sexy troupe of Police officers.

Adam Lambert confirmed for Mardi Gras Party

American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert arrives Australia today for a promotional tour, before joining Kelly Rowland for a performance at Sydney’s Mardi Gras party this Saturday night. Can't wait!!

Mardi Gras Parade 2010

Saturday night, we and friends joined other 9,400 revellers in the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Parade marched along Oxford street with Amanda Lepore as the chief of this year parade. The 32th annual gay and lesbian Mardi Gras parade was attended by more than 500,000 people.

The theme this year was “History of the World”, and the lead float bore the slogan “Remembering Genius”. Other highlights included homages to Queen Victoria and Frida Kahlo, numerous George Michaels, egyptians, zombies, dregqueens and surf lifesavers.

Kelly Rowland to rock at Mardi Gras Party

RnB diva Kelly Rowland is set to perform at this coming Sydney Mardi Gras Party, March 6. The news was leaked on her website, but was removed soon later as Mardi Gras adopted a “no comment” policy around Party talent this year.

Kelly would probably rock the party-goers with her top chart track "When Love Takes Over", produced by DJ David Guetta, who will also be appearing on the party line up. Kelly had been doing plenty of gay gigs over the last year, including One Mighty Party, Orlando and Fire Island, New York.

Unveiling Sydney Mardi Gras 2010

New Mardi Gras (NMG) has launched its official Season Guide with the 2010 festival’s theme, ‘Mardi Gras’ History of the World, unveiling an event-packed week between the Parade and Party.

Because of the Parade and Party split in 2010 NMG have introduced a new party called 'Parade Carnival' which will take place after the Parade at Entertainment Quarter. Big names for next year’s festival include Whitney Houston at Acer Arena, Spencer Tunick’s The Base, John Waters’ This Filthy World at the Opera House.
